A Spa Day At Clarice House

With the summer just round the corner a spa day is just what I need to feel summer ready. I went for the spa day with my mother as she was the one who brought me the day as a Christmas present. 

Our day started at about nine when we arrived. After choosing what we would like for lunch and having a quick drink we headed down to the changing rooms. Our first treatment was at ten so there was no time for any use of the pools or saunas. 

The first treatment was a facial. Me and my mother were in a double treatment room for this which was lovely. Because the spa day we were having had two treatments and lunch that meant each treatment was only thirty minutes. The facial products used were from the germaine de capuccini range. I have never used this range before but it was amazing. Having sensitive skin I normally react to new products however these were great on my skin. 

Our second treatment was a manicure. Yet again this was thirty minutes but my nails are not in bad condition so this was plenty of time. I had my nails painted with a clear/purple metallic colour from opi which looks great. 

Being such a big place with a lot of guests you was given a time for your lunch. Our time was quarter past one which was perfect. After having a swim we was starving. For my lunch still being a vegetarian there was not too much choice. For my starter I went for the soup of the day which was broccoli and stilton. 

I was really surprised to find this so delicious. I have never eaten stilton before and never really wanted to. But with only the two vegetarian choices for starters this was the one I preferred of the two. Served with a fresh warm roll the soup was amazing. If you ever have the option of this soup you should defentely try it.

For my main course I chose the tuna and cucumber jacket potato. This was manly because there was nothing else vegetarian that appealed to me and after having a swim I didn't fancy a hot dinner type dish. The course was served up with a fresh garden salad to compliment it. This filled me up so much I was unable to finish it. 

Although really full when I had a look at the dessert menu I noticed there was scones with jam as an option. I have to admit I love scones, how could I not try this? Me and my mother ordered the one dessert between us. Thankfully we did because the two scones were humungous!
