El Guaca; Restaurant Review

So for my boyfriends birthday we all went to a Mexican restaurant in the town we live. Although I have eaten at the restaurant before eating there again has confirmed how good the food actually is. When you think of Mexican you automatically think of chilli and tacos but at this restaurant there was so much choice it didn't have to be that.

For my starter I had chicken wings. I am not a fan of really hot food so I went for the bbq sauce on my wings. Although there was peri peri hot sauce, lemon and lime peri peri and louisiana hot sauce.

Then for my main I had the smokey bbq chicken wrap. I did have this the last time I visited the restaurant but it was so good after reading the whole menu I went for it again. The wrap itself has, chicken, a smokey bbq sauce, bacon and mushroom. The dish also came with chips, but these ones were seasoned to perfection. I can't explain how good they were! They were spicy but not too spicy, I just couldn't get enough of them.

And finally for my dessert I had churros with ice cream and a toffee sauce as pictured at the top. When I have eaten churros before I have found them to be quite greasy but these were not greasy at all. With the coldness of the ice cream and the warmth of the churros with a drizzle of toffee sauce they were delicious. My boyfriend went for the profiterole for his dessert. This was served with a dusting of cocoa powder. Taking up most of the plate when cut into it was a mixture of pastry and cream. Perfect for the sweet tooth!

Have you eaten at any great restaurants recently?

Lots of love,
Clo x
