Harbour Lights | Walton

What better way to celebrate the warm weather than a nice meal out. With the restaurant positioned overlooking the harbour we were able to enjoy the sun with an amazing view. The restaurant is known for its sea food as well as its location.

Of course with such a reputation I am sure that you are keen to see what we ate when visiting the restaurant. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with what we went for.

Clo's Meal:

For my starter I had the battered king prawns with sweet chilli dip. The dish contained four prawns accompanied with a side salad. After just the first bite I was impressed, the prawns were so fresh and the batter was perfect. You wouldn't even think that they had been fried to achieve such a taste, they were not greasy at all. With the side salad also coming with a dressing the whole plate was eaten up. If anything I could of ate more!

Normally I wouldn't go for a seafood for my starter but I am so glad that I did this time. I would recommend anyone to try this dish at a restaurant that offers it!

And then for my main I went for a double steak burger. I had no idea that the dish would come out this big! Accompanied with fries and the biggest onion rings I have ever seen! It also came with sides of coleslaw and a salsa tomato relish. Although yes I have probably eaten a burger at every restaurant I have ever visited this is definitely one of the best I have had. The burger was simple yet delicious, everything on the plate was so fresh.

Then finally for my dessert I had new york cheese cake. After eating such a big meal I like to have something refreshing to cleanse the pallet. The cheese cake however was quite heavy, normally you would find it to be light and creamy but this one wasn't so much. Without any other flavour such as toffee the dessert was quite cheesy. However in all I did finish it and enjoy it!

Meg's Meal:

Here was my starter and it must have been the best one iv'e ever had. It was duck spring rolls with hoisin sauce and a small side salad. I never normally have duck and now I'm thinking why because it was so good. Four was just the right amount and the added salad was really delicious with a different dressing which I've never had before.

My main course was also amazing and came out so huge! I ordered the southern fried chicken burger with fries and it also came with the best coleslaw I've ever had, two huge onion rings and a pot of mayonnaise. Although there was so much to eat I struggled through because it was all so good. The presentation of the whole plate was lovely but it did look like a mess when I was done.

Last but not least was the best dessert ever! Profiteroles sitting on whipped cream covered in melted chocolate. It looks like a huge portion as well but it wasn't so bad and I was able to finish most of it even after the other courses. My whole meal was amazing and I will defiantly be returning there in the future.

Lots of love,
Clo & Meg x
