So before I have tried to go without meat and it lasted for quite a while (about 5 months) but I have decided to try again. I'm not one of those people who loves meat and to be honest I could leave or take it. I wouldn't say that I eat much meat but if I do then it would be mainly chicken.
Although not eating meat I did consume fish throughout the month. This makes it a pescetarian diet and not a vegetarian one.
Throughout the month I have been eating meals that I would not of normally ate or gone for originally. Most of the meals contained a lot of vegetables and due to the decrease in fat I was eating (that I would consume from meat) I was able to lose some weight along the way.
Not everything vegetarian I have eaten has been home made unfortunately. However I have tried the vegetarian option at quite a few places. The first picture is of my veggie burger at the shake shack in Covent Garden. This was the strangest burger I have ever eaten, once I bit into it I found that it was a mushroom.
The second picture is of my meal at TGI Fridays, this has to be my favourite! The burger was delicious and so fresh.
And finally the last picture is of my mamma Mia burger at the hungry horse. This burger was made of mozzarella, sweet potato and soya beans. The first time I have ever eaten soya beans and they were pretty good.
If any of you are interested in making any of the dishes to try or your already a vegetarian/pescetarian and fancy something you haven't had before I will be posting the recipes to follow.
Have you ever considered not eating meat?
Lots of love,
Clo x
