I was hoping to get my hands on some of the new products that Mac have brought out for the release of the new Cinderella movie. Unfortunately when trying to order any products, every single one has been sold out. But can you really blame everyone, it's everyone's childhood dream to be a princess.
The products in the Cinderella range are: Studio eye gloss, Pigment, Fluid line, Studio fix lash, Lipstick, Tinted lipgloss, Beauty powder, Iridescent powder and Glitter.
The studio eye gloss comes in two shades, pearl varnish or lightly tauped. The eye shadows claim to shine like glass. Of course they would with Cinderella having a glass slipper. They can be used over the top of an eye shadow to enhance pigment and even give the shadow more shine. However you can also use the shadows on there own providing a wash of gloss and a hint of shine. Both of the eyeshadows come in a clear pot with a blue lid to match the Cinderella collection.
The pigment also comes in two shades: pretty it up and evil stepmother. The pretty it up shade is like golden colour and the evil stepmother shade is like a dark purple colour. All of the products seem to have a name related to Cinderella. The eyeshadows are designed to be complimented by the eye gloss. However can be worn on there own, it's a shame they don't have a wider variety of colours for the Cinderella collection as both appear quite hard and harsh.
The collections fluid lines or eye liners as they are normally known as also come in two shades as well. Macroviolet and little black bow. The eye liners come in the same little pot as the eyeshadows except they are of course liquid so you'll need an eyeliner brush to apply them. The macroviolet is a dark purper shade so would go well with the evil stepmother eye shadow and the little black bow is of course black and would go wih either of the eyeshadows.
Studio fix lash is macs name for mascara. The mascara claims to give superior definition, volume and lift by filling in sparse lashes for a dramatic effect. I don't really see how this mascara is different to any other that Mac currently sell except of course the collection it belongs to.
Lipstick is something that will always be different you will never find the same shade in different brands just similar. The Cinderella collection has the shades: free as a butterfly and royal ball. Both the shades are a peachy/light pink colour. The shades are a typical princess colour both being pick. The free as a butterfly shade it the lighter of the two and isn't as warm as the royal ball. However both are equally special and would be the perfect finishing touch to your Cinderella look.
If your not a lipstick person then not to worry because Mac have catered for everyone with there tinted lipgloss'. Coming in two shades: happily ever after and glass slipper once again you are given a choice to chose from. Both are pretty similar with the glass slipper being a darker pink shade. The lipgloss can be worn on its over or over lip liner or lipstick.
Cinderella's beauty powder is called mysterious princess. Maybe because it claims to give the skin a touch of radiance. The powder comes in just the one colour which is a foundation creamy colour. The powder is perfect for applying over your make up to keep it on for the day.
Coupe d'chic is the cinderella collections iridescent powder. It claims to be a shimmering sheen that will make you the belle of the ball. The powder comes in just the one shade which is a soft pink colour. The blusher is a soft gently pink colour, perfect for that cinderella look.
And last but not least you can not have a princess without glitter: 'reflects pearl' to be precise. The glitter is the perfect finishing touch for your cinderella make up. It can be applied on your skin and hair. Just a little dusting or much more if you wish.
Do you own any Mac Cinderella products? If so which ones?
Lots of love,
Clo x
